46 Procedures ( View All )

Overview

Childbirth, breastfeeding, menopause, a hysterectomy, and chemotherapy are just some of the reasons that a woman may want vaginal rejuvenation. diVa by Sciton uses a hybrid fractional laser (HFL) to both resurface the tissue of the vaginal wall and boost collagen production in a quick, nonsurgical treatment that improves the quality and elasticity of the vaginal area. In addition to improving the tightness of the skin, diVa treatments have helped women with urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness. We are pleased to be able to offer the revolutionary diVa vaginal rejuvenation treatments for women in Austin and the surrounding areas of Texas. Schedule a consultation with the Skin Care Clinic at Austin Plastic Surgery Institute to learn more about the diVa vaginal therapy and how it can help you.

Procedure Process

The device's laser handpiece is inserted into the vagina, delivering controlled energy pulses into the tissue. One laser resurfaces the vaginal wall to reveal new, healthy tissue while the other laser stimulates the production of collagen for long-term improvements. The procedure takes less than five minutes and is mildly uncomfortable, topical anesthetic is used to increase patient comfort. For optimal results, three treatments are recommended, spaced one month apart, with a maintenance treatment once a year if desired.

What to Expect

Patients should not need any recovery time after their diVa treatment, so they can return to their normal routine. It is recommended that patients avoid sexual activity for up to 72 hours to allow optimal healing. Patients may notice some improvement immediately after their treatment, but full results will not develop for at least 4 months as the tissue continues to improve and heal for firmer skin.

diVa FAQs

Is It Painful?

For most patients, diVa treatments only cause mild discomfort and since it is less than five minutes for a session, patients are generally fine without any anesthesia. Patients have noted some pressure on the vaginal wall and increased sensitivity during the treatment. For patients who are especially sensitive or concerned, a topical anesthesia may be used after speaking to your doctor.

Is It Safe?

The diVa handpiece uses an automated control system to deliver the proper amount of heat for the right amount of time to achieve results. In addition, diVa is performed with a Strengthened Quartz Dilator that is changed for each patient to avoid any contamination and inconsistencies between treatments.

Proven Results?

In a clinical study, 92% of patients were satisfied with the results of their diVa treatment. In the same study, 85% of patients experienced little to no discomfort and would recommend the treatment to others.

Improving Dryness and Tone?

By stimulating the collagen production in the vaginal tissue, diVa treatments strengthen the tone and thickness of the vaginal wall, while also increasing natural lubrication.
