When was the last time?
When was the last time you were happy with your vagina?
As we women get older, our bodies change. We’re all familiar with the changes in our faces, breasts, buttocks and stomachs that we can see. (And repair with plastic surgery!) But we don’t think a lot about what happens inside our vagina.
Sometimes what you can’t see can hurt you.
As you get older — especially if you’ve gone through childbirth, breastfeeding, menopause, a hysterectomy and/or chemotherapy — your vagina loses elasticity, lubricity, tone and general quality.
As a result, sex can become a lot less pleasurable. A chore. Painful. In time, you might also find yourself struggling with embarrassing incontinence.
Some women turn to creams and lubricants and/or adult pads. They do the best they can, figuring they have to live with the inevitable affects of aging on their interior anatomy.
Not anymore. Austin Plastic Surgery Institute is proud to provide our female patients with diVa, an in-office non-surgical procedure for women who want to restore the quality of their vagina.

"Dr. Gorman and his staff are absolutely amazing! They are genuinely nice people and go above and beyond to answer all your questions and make you feel comfortable with getting your surgery. I have never been at a doctor's office that is so warm and inviting. I am so glad I found Dr. Gorman and highly recommend him. I would also like to recommend Lauren for your Botox needs. She is absolutely amazing and so sweet and gentle. I love her so much! Thank you Dr. Gorman and staff! Y'all are the best!"- M.W. / Facebook / Feb 06, 2017
"I have gone to Dr. Wilder for elective plastic surgery since 1988. I'll admit I'm a little vain! I went to him for breast augmentation & a tummy tuck.. 29 yrs later, I'm still thrilled with the results of those operations. I had liposuction of my thighs about 10 years ago, & have been very happy. Recently I asked him about a face lift and he suggested I wait a few years. I go to the skin care clinic in his office and Patty has been great to suggest less invasive things. Highly recommend this doc"- Anonymous / Healthgrades / Nov 10, 2017

"I had my first hydrafacial and it was electric. Got a nice massage from Helen (who was a very kind/nice lady) as the process was coming to close, which was an unexpected addition but very much appreciated. The office was super clean. Also, my face was glowing when I got done. I would recommend this to any guy out there and would suggest anyone give APSI a try."- J.B. / Google / Oct 23, 2017
After applying a topical anesthetic, our medical aesthetician inserts a small, sterile, handheld laser into your vagina. One laser pulse resurfaces the vaginal wall to reveal new, healthy tissue. The other laser stimulates the production of collagen for long-term improvements.
What to Expect
diVa improves the quality and elasticity of the vaginal area, making sex more sensitive, comfortable and pleasurable. In addition to improving the tightness of the skin, diVa treatments have been proven to help women with urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness.
The diVa procedure takes less than five minutes! It’s safe, fast and effective.
You may notice improvement in your vagina’s feel and/or help with incontinence immediately after your treatment. The full results will develop over the next four months, as the tissue continues to improve, creating firmer skin.
For optimal results, we recommend three treatments, spaced one month apart, with a maintenance treatment once a year.
Ladies: there’s no longer any reason to be less than happy with your vagina. And vice versa!

Is It Painful?
For most patients, diVa treatments only cause mild discomfort and since it is less than five minutes for a session, patients are generally fine without any anesthesia. Patients have noted some pressure on the vaginal wall and increased sensitivity during the treatment. For patients who are especially sensitive or concerned, a topical anesthesia may be used after speaking to your doctor.
Is It Safe?
The diVa handpiece uses an automated control system to deliver the proper amount of heat for the right amount of time to achieve results. In addition, diVa is performed with a Strengthened Quartz Dilator that is changed for each patient to avoid any contamination and inconsistencies between treatments.
In a clinical study, 92% of patients were satisfied with the results of their diVa treatment. In the same study, 85% of patients experienced little to no discomfort and would recommend the treatment to others.
Improving Dryness and Tone?
By stimulating the collagen production in the vaginal tissue, diVa treatments strengthen the tone and thickness of the vaginal wall, while also increasing natural lubrication.
