About Dr. William H. Gorman
Dr. William H. Gorman is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon and founding member of Austin Plastic Surgery Institute. Dr. Gorman has been board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) since November of 1985, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His main priority as a doctor is the safety and comfort of his patients. He holds himself to the highest standards of ethical conduct and patient care by treating each and every patient as though he or she is a family member. Dr. Gorman strives to make the plastic surgery experience as pleasant as possible, and his extensive skills and qualifications give patients confidence that he will achieve the results they desire.
Throughout his 30-year career in plastic surgery, Dr. Gorman has performed thousands of procedures. He is highly skilled in a wide variety of cosmetic surgeries, including facial (nose surgery, facelift surgery), breast (augmentation, lift, reduction), butt (lift, augmentation), and body (liposuction, tummy tuck, fat transfer, body lift) procedures. Dr. Gorman is dedicated to the art and science of aesthetic plastic surgery, and he is involved in the latest cosmetic industry technology and research.

Special Skills & Training
For the past 20 years, Dr. Gorman has been a clinical researcher for new devices in the field of plastic surgery. He is currently involved in a national study investigating new cohesive silicone gel breast implants, and he will be tracking the progress of 250 of his Austin patients with these new implants over a 10-year period. Dr. Gorman ensures he is ahead of the curve on the latest techniques and technologies to achieve optimal results for his patients.

Dr. Gorman is one of the founding members and a former board member of the non-profit organization, Austin Smiles, putting his plastic surgery experience to use for this great cause. He regularly goes on mission trips and has corrected cleft lip and other birth abnormalities for hundreds of children in third-world countries. In addition, Dr. Gorman devotes his time to countless other prestigious organizations.

A North Texan, Dr. Gorman was born and raised in Amarillo, TX, but loves living and working in Austin. Dr. Gorman and his lovely wife, Nancy, have 3 adoring children (Christine, Robert, and Ashleigh), and now have 3 wonderful grandchildren (John, Rory, and Greta), who he enjoys spending time with when he is not working. Also, before his children were born, from 1970-1972, Dr. Gorman proudly served in the Army National Guard, the 111th Medical Company, at Camp Mabry, TX as a Medic.
