BRCA2 Positive-Elective Mastectomy with Reconstruction*
This 30 yo patient had an strong family history of breast cancer. Sub-sequentially, she tested positive for the BRCA2 gene and decided to have an elective nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. In the same surgery that the mastectomy was performed, tissue expanders, as well as, temporary implants were placed. (Before picture) 4 months later, the expanders were removed and a more permanent implant was placed. She is 1 year post op.More
